Gemma Lionello, the President of Nordstrom Rack stores, stated that they anticipate contributing positively to the Houston community. Their focus remains on satisfying customers with an extraordinary variety of premium brands at exceptional price points. The expansion in the region opens a door to engage new customers and offer the trademark Nordstrom experience.
Ms. Lionello mentioned the added convenience for customers at the Houston location, enabling them to pick up online orders from both Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com and return items without any hassle.
The proposed store, spreading over 34,000 square feet, is set to be stationed at Meyerland Plaza. This esteemed open-air center ranks amongst the top five most frequently visited shopping destinations in Texas. The Plaza houses over 50 retail and restaurant spaces, including big names like Target, JCPenney, Dick's Sporting Goods, Ross, Marshalls, and Old Navy. Fidelis manages Meyerland Plaza, prominently situated at the intersection of Loop 610 and Beechnut Street.
Co-President and Chief Leasing & Development Officer, Lynn Davis, expressed excitement over Nordstrom Rack joining the most popular open-air retail center in Houston, Meyerland Plaza. The chic offerings of Nordstrom Rack are expected to enrich the customers' shopping experience greatly.
Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc., provides customers with up to a 70% discount on trendy apparel, accessories, beauty products, home goods, and shoes. It boasts unique services such as online order pickup from Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, easy returns, and select store alterations. Nordstrom Rack is the largest source of new customers to Nordstrom.
With the establishment of this new outlet, Nordstrom extends its physical presence and economic contribution in Texas. The firm operates eight Nordstrom and 23 Nordstrom Rack stores in Texas, creating over 4,000 jobs across the state.
Nordstrom, alongside its customers, has generously donated close to $2 million over the past four years through its longstanding alliance with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the United States. The contributed funds aid in the recruitment, training, and engagement of adult mentors and nurture mentorship moments between Bigs and Littles.
